ZD Net: This is how Formula 1 teams fight off cyberattacks

Fuelled by relentless technological advancement, constant engineering innovation and the drive to maintain agility, F1 is a sexy, rich target for bad actors. The money involved means the technological trade secrets have real value on the black market.

Construction as a sector is recognised as amongst the least digitised and investment in mitigating cyberthreat is relatively lacking, compared to the finance or health sectors.

This needs to change. We process huge sums of money on multi year programs of work on sensitive projects in the built environment. Think the building layouts of airports, hospitals, sitting government agencies. What’s it worth on the black market, to gain the floor plans of MI5, MI6, CIA, FBI, ASIO, ASIS, Mossad, GSG9?
